HISTORY

Although the South African Public Health Medicine Association only started its journey in 2012, its predecessor, the Community Health Association of South Africa (CHASA) had a long history of existence. The CHASA was an active organisation in 1980’s and 1990’s, organised a number of national conferences and regularly published a Journal titled ‘Journal of Public Health.
